Motor Mill Tour
- Description:
- Celebrating 140 years.....Motor Mill "Stories in Stone"
Open Weekends
Saturday: 9:00 am to 5 pm
Sunday: Noon to 5 pm
Guided Tours offered throughout the day. Tour includes the historic 1860''s mill, related buildings and town site.
A special event, hike or program will be offered each open Saturday at 1:00 pm.
The route to Motor Mill begins just outside Elkader, IA where Iowa Highway 13 bypass intersects with County C1X (Grape Road.) Take C1X across three concrete bridges. At the top of the hill, take the first gravel road to the right, Galaxy Rd. Take Galaxy Rd to the Mill. The Motor Mill Bridge is out so that the site is currently not accessible from the south.

- Description:
- Here is an opportunity to get a look inside the unique Sherman Swift Tower.
Tours will be given from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
The tower is located near the National, Iowa cemetary.
The original tower was built by Althea Sherman, the National woman and used it to observe the activities of the Chimney Swift bird.

[7:00pm] Christian Rock Concert at Gazebo
- Description:
- Carpenter''s Tools International (CTI), a youth Christian Rock band, will be playing at McGregor''s Gazebo park this Saturday, September 5th at 7 p.m.
Gazebo park is located near St. Mary''s Church and the MFL Mar Mac Middle School on Business Hwy 18.
CTI is a group of young people who combine a love of music with a desire to share the love of christ. Supporting global mission and ministry through the impact of music. Developing Christian leadership and character in young musicians.
This is a free concert. Please bring a lawn chair.
